Temple fair (庙会): Temple fair originates in ancient times when people offered sacrifices to the village god. Later it evolved into a marketplace to exchange goods. Temple fairs are usually held in famous temples during important festivals like Spring Festival. There are performances and booths demonstrating and selling traditional handicrafts. There are also a lot of games to play, food to eat, performances to watch.
