Noodles with tripe aren't everyone's cup of tea, and the gross factor jumped many notches in China after a customer claimed he found pig poop in portion of the intestines he was served at a restaurant in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin Province.

The customer surnamed Wang is demanding 20,000 yuan ($2,858) in compensation after being served the unwashed tripe at A'Xiang Rice Noodles, a well-known chain of rice noodle restaurants in China, according to a video posted by Pear Video on Sunday.

"I noticed the texture of a piece of the tripe was hard after I picked it up with chopsticks and found something very unpleasant in it - pig poop," Wang said.

Wang immediately complained to the restaurant manager who is seen in the video discussing the matter with Wang. The tripe supplier later called him and offered him ten times the cost of the noodle soup in compensation, which was immediately rejected by Wang who then demanded 30,000 yuan, which he later lowered to 20,000 yuan.

"Compensating me a couple of hundred yuan is a joke," Wang said. "I almost eat pig feces!"

The tripe supplier said the law only requires 1,000 yuan in compensation and Wang's demand was far too much for a small enterprise.

The Pear Video didn't report whether Wang and the supplier had come to an agreement.
