China market news daily wrap-up

The Chinese stock market closed mixed on Thursday showing relative optimism, which may come from the release of another list of selected US products that will be exempted from additional tariffs by China.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed flat at 3,017.07 points while the Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.02 percent higher at 10,296.29 points. 

The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.11 percent to close at 1,790.44 points Thursday.

China's two-, five- and 10-year treasury bond futures all closed higher on Thursday.

There is growing concern over the stability of financial markets following the impeachment of US President Donald Trump by US House of Representatives, which is spilling over to international share market as US stocks edged lower by the close of markets on Wednesday.

Tokyo stocks closed lower Thursday, with the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average losing 69.58 points, or 0.29 percent, from Wednesday to close the day at 23,864.85.
