African countries’ support to China in history

1955

Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai attended the Asian-African Conference in Bandung, Indonesia, a point of unity for China and African countries.

 
1971:

The UN passed Resolution 2758, which recognized that "the representatives of the Government of the People's Republic of China are the only lawful representatives of China to the United Nations." Among the 76 yes votes, 26 were African countries. 

Chairman Mao Zedong said that "it is our African brothers who have carried us into the UN."

2001: 

African countries supported Beijing's bid to hold the 2008 Olympic Games.

2008: 

African countries such as Equatorial Guinea and Mozambique donated aid to China after the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan Province.

2015: 

44 African countries have signed cooperative documents with China under the Belt and Road Initiative

2018: 

53 African members of FOCAC reaffirm their commitment to the one-China principle via the Beijing Declaration at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation

2020: 

African countries such as Egypt, Ghana and Djibouti donated aid to China in the fight against COVID-19. They also praised China's work in the battle.
