Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang Province will host Spartan obstacle races on November 7, event organizers announced Tuesday, with an adults' race and a juniors' race to be held in the city. 

Registration has already started for the adults' race, which has received more than 2,000 applications, organizers said. 

The Spartan race has been staged in China more than 60 times since 2016, with a total number of participants reaching 300,000.

Ningbo has introduced a series of sporting events in the city following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions across China, including the Spartan race and sailing races.
