Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to appoint several senior officials of the Presidential Administration, the Kremlin press service reported on Wednesday.

Putin named Yevgeny Shkolov as his new aide and appointed Alexander Abramov and Vladimir Tolstoy as his advisors.

Former presidential aide Oleg Markov and advisers Yuri Laptev and Yevgeny Yuryev were removed from their posts, according to the Kremlin.

Putin on Monday signed a decree to approve the formation and lineup of the new government, of which three-quarters was made up by new names.

The newly-inaugurated president started the reshuffle in the Kremlin following the new government's formation.

He appointed Dmitry Peskov as deputy presidential chief of staff and his press secretary on Tuesday.

Sergei Ivanov kept the post of presidential chief of staff. Vyacheslav Volodin and Alexei Gromov became Ivanov's first deputies. Ex-government chief of staff Anton Vaino became deputy presidential chief of staff.
