Residents working in Xicheng district are the highest paid employees in Beijing, with an average annual income per capita of 110,000 yuan ($17,292) in 2011, according to the municipal statistics bureau, the Beijing Morning Post reported Monday.

Xicheng district topped the earnings list as the city's financial hub is located in the area. Dongcheng and Haidian districts, with 88,000 yuan and 83,000 yuan per capita, ranked the second and third. Chaoyang district residents had the highest spending power of 24,799 yuan per capita last year.
