Voting for 250 members of the Serbian parliament has ended at more than 8,000 polling stations.
According to the official sources, less than a half of 6.7 million of registered voters casted their votes until 6 p.m. (GMT 1700).
"Polling stations were visited by 45.65 percent of the total number of voters," said president of the Serbian Election Committee (RIK) Dejan Djurdjevic at a press conference.
He said that the voting in all places except one polling station in Novi Pazar went through without irregularities.
After the closure of the polling stations, the electoral boards will start counting results. After the counting, the complete electoral materials will be turned over to coordinators who would bring them to the headquarters of RIK.
The first preliminary results will be announced by RIK at 10 pm. (GMT 2100)
