The mother of a 3-month-old baby who suffered damage to its liver and heart after being given the wrong medicine, will receive 18,000 yuan in damages, the Beijing Morning Post reported.

The nanny surnamed Zhao was sued by the mother surnamed Deng after she accidentally mistook medicine that treats arthrolithiasis as calcium tablets for children. Initially, the mother sued for 40,000 yuan, but after court mediation the nanny agreed to pay 18,000 yuan.
