The right foot of a young boy aged 6 or 7 years old became trapped in an escalator in a shopping center in Beijing's Chaoyang district on Saturday. The boy received minor injures and was released from the hospital Saturday evening, Beijing Morning Post reported on Sunday.
An employee surnamed Kong with the New Dongjiao Market located near Beijing's East Fifth Ring Road stated that Saturday afternoon the boy's foot suddenly became stuck between the stairs and the skirt panel while he was running down the escalator. Fortunately, someone immediately pressed the emergency stop button. Firemen freed the boy and, feet covered in blood, he was sent to the hospital.
Just before this case, a 6-year-old boy accidentally got his left foot stuck between the stairs and skirt panel at the Indigo Mall in the Chaoyang district on July 26. He was later diagnosed at the hospital as injuring the soft tissue in his foot.
