A new electrodeposition coating developed by Nippon Paint China's Automotive Coatings Division that boasts a low curing temperature has passed industrial assessment and is now being used on production lines.

Nippon Paint China's new coating's advanced technology offers a smooth surface and good appearance with a low environmental impact, and is cutting-edge by international standards. The coating has a low baking temperature of 120 C and a stable bath.

Other ordinary electrodeposition coatings on the market require 135-175 C curing temperatures. Although there are some products that require curing temperatures of 125-130 C , the bath is unstable with a flat appearance, solidification problems and poor performance.

Nippon Paint China's innovation is an encapsulation technology that ensures the coating's stability at low temperatures. The advanced resin technology can control surface tension to provide a coating with excellent resistance to shrinkage and an improved surface appearance.

This innovative technology developed by Nippon Paint China also saves at least 20 percent in costs and input energy, reducing production costs.

The coating is designed for one-piece components with both metal and plastic materials, such as compressors.

The new coating developed by Nippon Paint China solves traditional coating problems such as components' and core wires' intolerance to high temperatures, incomplete curing and poor performance, and makes the industrial process more fluent.

Nippon Paint's new electrodeposition coating also helps advance the progress of green automotive production technology.

The new product marks a major step forward in the development of the automotive electrodeposition coating industry and has set a new benchmark for others in the industry to follow.
