The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is set to vote on November 30 to impose new sanctions on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) for conducting its fifth nuclear test on September 9, 2016. With each successive test carried out by the DPRK, the UNSC has taken longer to reach a resolution in response. We will now review the Security Council's moves aimed at containing North Korea's nuclear ambitions.
