Border trade between Myanmar and China increased during the fiscal year that ended in March, the Myanmar Ministry of Commerce said Thursday.

Bilateral border trade reached $5.97 billion, compared with $5.936 billion in the previous fiscal year.

The four border gates linking the countries are Muse in northern Shan state, Lwejel in Kachin state, Chin Shwehaw in northeastern Shan state and Kanpite Tee in Kachin state. The Muse gate is the busiest, the ministry said.
