On August 2, Chinese online English education company VIPKID made an official debut of all of its six brands during a press conference. On top of its well-known online one-on-one English learning platform VIPKID and online Chinese learning platform Lingo Bus, the company also showcased its one-to-many online English learning service SayABC, Free Planet for children under 4, VIP Fengxiao for students aged 9 to 15, and "play and learn English with Daxiong," a learning solution for children between the ages of 3 and 6.
This indicates that the company has made its transition from an online English education provider for Chinese children to a one-stop educational technology company with quality language learning solutions for students aged 0 to 18 all over the world.
"Over the past five years, VIPKID has gained experience in developing course content, professional standards for teachers, curriculum systems, educational technology and overseas market strategies. These experiences will be put into practice in developing each brand of ours," Cindy Mi, CEO and co-founder of VIPKID, said at the event. "The aim is to fully empower every part of the educational industry chain, connecting all brands and systems to form a global educational platform, which could offer children quality, personalized learning solutions and help them to become world citizens."
VIPKID also announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft, in which the two companies will work on applying artificial intelligence (AI) in education and push forward cooperation in multiple areas including product development, technology and the market.
According to statistics released by VIPKID, the company currently serves over 60,000 teachers from North America and over 500,000 children, who spend 4.5 million minutes daily learning in class on their platforms.
