Running enthusiasts, this one is for you! If you are into big large running events then there is no doubt know that the Beijing Marathon is coming up. The event will take place on Sunday, September 16, and the route will take runners past iconic Beijing landmarks like Tiananmen Square and Beijing's Olympic stadiums.

For the second year in a row, Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) will be supporting the event as the exclusive medical sponsor. They will also serve as the main point of access for foreign nationals wishing to sign up for the race in person. Interested parties can go to the hospital to register from 10 am-12 pm and 2-4 pm on Thursday, August 16; Friday, August 17 and Saturday, August 18. There is no limit to the number of non-Chinese nationals that can participate, while the number of Chinese runners (including those from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) is limited. However, for the participants, they must meet the registration requirements set forth by the Beijing Marathon.

To register in person at BJU's main hospital, you can go to the front desk on the first floor of Building 2. Please see the map above for directions.

When you come to BJU to register, please bring the following:

1. A photocopy of your marathon certificate stating you have finished at least one marathon event within six hours in the past year in any country.

2. A photocopy of your passport as well as the original copy for verification

3. If you are registering other runners on their behalf, you will need to bring their passports and a photocopy, as well as your own ID and a photocopy of that. You should also bring a note of consent showing that the runner has authorized you to register on their behalf. This note should include both parties' full names and passport numbers.

4. Cash for the registration fee of 350 yuan ($50) per person.

5. When you get to the hospital, you will be asked to fill out a marathon registration form (both a hard copy and a digital copy) and a questionnaire, and to sign a disclaimer.

If you wish to stay informed about race updates, you can join a WeChat group where you can ask questions and receive news about the event. Please send us a message on the BJU English WeChat account saying you'd like to be added to the group and include your WeChat ID.

We look forward to seeing you when you register, and we wish you luck with your training!
