The US ITC Section 337 investigation will not have a material impact on Luxshare Precision's production and business operations, according to a release by the Chinese company on Monday, in response to US Amphenol Group's investigation application initiated by US authorities on Friday in accordance with Section 337 of the US Tariff Act of 1930.

After becoming aware of the investigation, Luxshare Precision established a special working group and hired a legal team to actively respond to the Section 337 investigation.

Through internal verification, Luxshare Precision currently has five US patents involved in the Section 337 investigation, which are independently developed and designed by the company, and applied to high-speed external IO connector products, according to the announcement.

The announcement stated that Luxshare Precision and Amphenol Group are involved in different types of patent applications, since the company entered the field of high-speed communication connectors.

"While maintaining active and open communication, each has its own claims on each other's patents," the release said.

By Tuesday, Luxshare Precision has not received any formal legal documents from US' International Trade Commission.
