A cold wave is hitting northern China. But five food delivery workers in Mohe, the northernmost part of the country, have warmed the hearts of local residents. Mohe station is the coldest food delivery station in China. Five deliverymen there serve more than 10,000 people in the city. Usually, they wear heavy cotton clothes on the job to resist the extreme cold of about -40 C. One of the delivery workers surnamed Wang has been helping healthcare professionals with laundry for free during the COVID-19 epidemic. Another carrier surnamed Feng usually helps take care of elderly people who live alone. Although the weather is extremely cold and accidents may occur during the delivery, the five deliverymen rarely receive negative in-app reviews. Everyone is in need of help sometimes. It is hoped more and more people can treat each other with empathy and provide some help and convenience to the society and others within their capacity - no matter how cold the weather gets.
