China’s Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council unveiled on Friday the third list of 65 tax-exempt goods from the second batch of US imports that had been hit with additional tariffs in retaliation to the US 301 investigation against China, effective from Sunday until September 16, 2021.

As shown on the list published on the website of the commission, the 65 goods include timber, books, filtering equipment, machine tools, engines and medical equipment.

China has released several lists in two batches of goods exempted from the additional tariffs on US goods.

Last February, China adjusted the tariff rate on about $75 billion of imports from the US that had been chosen for additional retaliatory tariffs. The additional tariff rate was reduced to 5 percent from goods previously hit with a 10 percent tariff, and to 2.5 percent for those with a 5 percent tariff.
