In the backdrop of a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in Bangladesh in recent weeks, the Bangladeshi government is emphasizing wearing masks in public to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Law enforcers in Bangladesh capital Dhaka, among other agencies, have joined the government efforts in motivating the masses to abide by the COVID 19 hygiene rules including wearing masks.
Bangladesh recorded 2,172 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 22 new deaths on Sunday, making its total tally at 570,878 with 8,690 deaths, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
