Lebanon records 2,963 new COVID-19 infections, 60 more deaths

Lebanon registered on Friday 2,963 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 474,925, the Health Ministry reported.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths from the virus increased by 60 to 6,346.

Lebanon will begin a 3-day total lockdown on Saturday for the Easter holiday to prevent a potential increase in COVID-19 infections.

The country has been fighting against COVID-19 since Feb. 21, 2020.
