The last TV drama series in a trilogy about the people of Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang Province, who are known for their enterprising nature and business acumen, came to an end to great reviews from viewers.

Directed by Su Zhou, Family On the Go 3 continues the previous two series by focusing on new business models and the vast number of new small start-ups in China.

Following three Wenzhou families, the story shows how young Chinese are taking hold of opportunities created by the country's Belt and Road Initiative and the internet plus wave.

The down-to-earth story and narrative have gained quite a following, especially among young people on social media platforms like Sina Weibo.

Additionally, some snacks that have appeared in the drama have also sparked people's interest in the city of Wenzhou.

With the first two series, which debuted in 2012 and 2015 respectively and have an average rating of 8/10 on Chinese media review site Douban, the Family On the Go franchise has also attracted a large number of overseas viewers.
