An art exhibition that explores the development potential between public art and the marine economy was launched on Sunday in Aotou village, Xiamen, East China's Fujian Province.

The exhibition mainly displays large-scale sculptures, among which sculptor Jing Xiaolei's 2020 work Bull is one of the highlights.

The show makes use of the unique sea culture of the Aotou village to depict the village's cultural image as well as use art to fuel new urban planning and development.

Besides the art show, Aotou village has also established an artist residency program and worked to provide interested artists with suitable creative environments, as well as a preferential tax policy and an IP registration system.

The exhibition is scheduled to end on June 25.
