A new exhibition from young Chinese artist Li Jing looks back at her past six years of art creation at Today Art Museum.

According to Yan Yan, curator of the Beyond Control exhibition, Li's portrait painting series started with a visit to France and reveals her understanding about the controllable and the uncontrollable.

Starting from her very first painting in 2016, Li has showed great interest in applying various materials on a variety of surfaces, which has become an important theme for her paintings.

The exhibition is set to run until June 20.
