Dozens of dragon boat athletes raced on Monday on the Nile River in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, to celebrate China's Dragon Boat Festival with a history of more than 2,500 years.

Organized by the Dragon Boat Egypt Academy, the event attracted paddlers from 14 countries and regions including China, Egypt, the United States, Canada, South Africa and the Philippines.
