Anti-epidemic film ‘Chinese Doctors’ continues to lead China box office

Domestic anti-epidemic movie Chinese Doctors continued to top the Chinese mainland box-office chart on Wednesday, with its total box office revenue topping 1 billion yuan ($150 million), China Movie Data Information Network reported Thursday.

The movie earned about 32.7 million yuan on the 13th day since its debut.

Coming in second was domestic musical comedy The Day We Lit Up The Sky, raking in about 10.5 million yuan on Wednesday, the fifth day of its release.

The movie depicts how a student on grade retention meets like-minded friends in school and together they pursue victory in a dancing competition despite every adversity.

It was followed by domestic movie 1921, which tells stories about the founding of the Communist Party of China. 

The film took in over 3.8 million yuan Wednesday, with its total box office reaching 472 million yuan.
