Youth Music Festival comes to Beijing in August

The first Youth Music Festival, a new project by the Beijing Music Festival, will be held in China's capital from August 16 to 26. The festival will be presented by the BMF Arts Foundation and organized by the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School.

According to Na Mula, the festival's artistic director, the festival will include lectures, talks, orchestra rehearsals and concerts. Renowned musicians Lang Lang, Lü Siqing, Wang Jian and Yang Yang will join the festival as instructors for young talents from Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau.

The opening ceremony will be held at the Forbidden City Concert Hall on August 16 and the closing concert will be staged at the National Centre for the Performing Arts on August 26.
