China on Tuesday exported its first shipment of oxygen to Russia through the largest land border crossing to help treat COVID-19 patients in Russia.

On Sunday the first truck loaded liquid oxygen left Harbin city, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, passing through the Manzhouli border crossing, the largest land border crossing between China and Russia. The first shipment of 22 tons of oxygen arrived in Russia on Tuesday.

"According to our signed contract, we will export 300 tons of oxygen in the first month, dispatching one truck every two days with the load of 22 tons of oxygen," Lu Houchun, head of Harbin Liming Gas Group which exported the oxygen to Russia.

According to the Russian Consulate General in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province will dispatch liquid oxygen to Russia regularly in the coming months through the Manzhouli-Zabaikalsk road port, bound for Irkutsk, Russia, primarily for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
