The UN aid agencies estimate that more than 20 million Yemeni people are just a step away from starvation and nearly 80 percent of the population completely rely on international humanitarian aid for survival. Some People in north Yemen's Hajjah province are no exception.
Yemen has been mired in a civil war since late 2014 when the Houthi militia seized control of much of the country's north and forced the internationally recognized government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi out of the capital Sanaa. Since then, the Yemeni economy has collapsed, sending commodity prices to soar and pushing millions of families to the brink of starvation.
