Guinea in turmoil following military coup

Guinea's Lieutenant-Colonel Mamady Doumbouya announced on Sunday that his forces have arrested the country's president Alpha Conde, and dissolved the government and national institutions.

International organizations including the United Nations and some governments have condemned the coup and demanded Conde's release.
