From paintings to pop toys, a number of art pieces from Australian pop artist Ashley Wood are on display at the BBART space in Beijing. The Australian artist, known to the world for his creative toys, has gained a large number of followers in China.

The New Journey exhibition covers a series of pop toys under the project Underverse, which includes Ashtroverse, 1/18th action figure Pocket Universe and World War Robots.

The artist told the media that, "for toys my interest truly extends from idea to manufacturing, a toy is a c combination of many disciplines, all hold court equally."

The exhibition also sees the debut of Zero Lad, a collaboration between the artist and Chinese art magazine BBART. According to the artist, Zero Lad is essentially the last of the Ashtro Lads that protected the world of Opera. The world of Opera was the home base for the Muse, the Muse "are the creative custodians of the Underverse and supply the energy needed to be who we are!"
