At least 15 people were killed and 34 injured in two explosions that occurred in the biggest military hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Tuesday, according to reports by local media. Gunshots were also heard during the two explosions.

Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, told reporters that at least two blasts took place at the entrance of the 400-bed hospital in Kabul's 10th district, Al Jazeera reported. According to a witness who talked to Al Jazeera the explosion "was a car bomb."

A Taliban official later said that a suicide bomber and several gunmen were behind the attack, said the report.

So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the explosions. However, a number of men from an ISIS affiliate group were seen in the region and had clashed with security forces, according to local media reports.

This is a developing story.
