Chinese folk art like paper cutting, New Year paintings and kites are on display at the National Art Museum of China to showcase the country's various kinds of cultural heritage during the Year of The Tiger.
The Embodiments of National Style exhibition features over 160 artworks about spring and the tiger. According to the president of NAMOC Wu Weishan, Chinese folk art showcases people's traditional need for art expression and more.
These artworks come from different regions of China from south to north including various styles of kites and cloth tiger toys with strong folk styles as well as traditional New Year paintings.
The exhibition is set to run until March 23.
