7.3-magnitude quake strikes Japan's Miyagi Prefecture: JMA

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 on Wednesday struck Japan's Miyagi Prefecture, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

Strong tremors were felt in the country's northeastern and eastern areas.

A tsunami advisory has been issued.
