As a Chinese saying goes, "food is the god of the people." But sometimes, the love of eating may bring some unnecessary trouble, especially during the epidemic. A woman recently had a hot pot with friends in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan Province. But right after checking out, something happened — a confirmed patient of COVID-19 had been to the restaurant. As she left about one minute later than her friends, she had to be quarantined in the hot pot restaurant.

According to the woman, surnamed Wang, she ate hot pot for three days. "At first, it was good," Wang said. "You could eat and drink for free and didn't have to worry about what to eat every day. But after a day or two, I could no longer eat the hot pot anymore and I think I will not have hot pot for a year after the 14-day quarantine."

Netizens expressed envy about the free hot pot and drinks and said she was so lucky to get quarantined in a restaurant since she didn't need to worry about what to eat every day. "The lesson of this story is that you can either eat out less during the epidemic or find a restaurant with better service so that you can have good food in case you are quarantined," one netizen commented.
