In this house on this day last year, a pink face vied

In beauty with the pink peach blossoms side by side.

I do not know today where the pink face has gone;

In vernal breeze still smile pink peach blossoms full-blown.

题都城南庄

About the poet 

Cui Hu was a Tang Dynasty (618-907) poet who was known for his refined and graceful writing style.

About the translator 

Xu Yuanchong (1921-2021) was born in Nanchang in East China's Jiangxi Province. He was a professor of literary translation at Peking University.
