Hair loss and alopecia have become a major problem for some young people. On April 24, a woman surnamed Yang posted a video on social media showing her story of making four wigs from her lost hair, in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning Province.

Yang said that the "raw materials" used are her fragile hair that fell when she washed and combed her hair. She began to collect those lost hair in May 2021. When she was quarantined in April 2022, she bought hair buckles and glue sticks to make them into wig pieces. "It looks authentic and pretty on me," Yang said. Yang also highlighted some of the hair pieces. Some netizens said that it is also an optimistic attitude towards hair loss. "Hair loss seems to be becoming more and more common among young people. Maybe relieving stress is the most important thing," one netizen said.
