sea-buckthorn fruit/ 沙棘果 / (shājíɡuǒ)

A: Is that cup of yellow juice in your hand orange juice? 

你手里这杯黄色的果汁是橙汁吗？

(nǐ shǒulǐ zhèbēi huánɡsè de ɡuǒzhī shì chénɡzhī ma?)

B: Nope, it is sea-buckthorn fruit juice. 

这不是,这是沙棘果果汁。

A: What's sea-buckthorn fruit? I've never heard of it.

什么是沙棘果呢？我从来没有听说过。

B: Sea-buckthorn is a type of berry plant. It has yellow fruit that produces sour and sweet juice. 

沙棘果是一种小浆果植物,它是黄色的果子,果子的汁水口味酸甜。

(shājíɡuǒ shì yīzhǒnɡ xiǎo jiānɡɡuǒ zhíwù, tāshì huánɡsè  de ɡuǒzǐ, ɡuǒzǐ de zhīshuǐ kǒuwèi suāntián.)

A: Is sea-buckthorn fruit juice very nutritious?  

那沙棘果果汁是非常有营养的么？

B: Of course. Sea-buckthorn fruit has a lot of vitamins. It is called a natural treasury for vitamins.

A: Really? So besides drinking it, are there any other ways to eat it?

B: I've even seen sea-buckthorn fruit juice being used as the base for hot pot.
