A car owner in Weifang, East China's Shandong Province, was surprised to find that his car had been hit by another car. Even more surprising was the fact that the car that hit him was "driven" by a large dog. The bizarre news went viral on the Chinese social media platform Sina Weibo, attracting nearly 600,000 views.

Whose car that was hit, surnamed Zhu, said that they were having a barbecue at the time when a car parked behind his car, and the owner left without turning it off.

"I think the owner of that car went to the toilet," Zhu said, saying that soon later, the big dog in the car, a husky, accidentally stepped on the accelerator and hit his car.

"There was nothing wrong with my car except that the bumper was a little damaged, and the dog's owner paid a few hundred yuan to settle the matter," said Zhu.

"I'm not surprised at all that it was a husky who crashed the car!" commented a Weibo user.
