The worst thing about sales is not the lack of customers, but the customer pretending to be rich. Recently, the news that a man from Shanghai pretended to be a rich man to cheat luxury brands has caused widespread discussion.

Over the past three years, he has fleeced almost every luxury brand in Shanghai, from private jets, yachts, luxury cars to watches. Without spending any money, he enjoyed free food and services in Shanghai and even rented an office of over 1,000 square meters in the Shanghai World Financial Center for three months.

According to the victim, at the beginning, the man just wanted to make some money. But soon after he started having contacts with richer people and broadened his horizons, his ambitions started to grow, and he even registered a company in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The news caused wide discussion and many people were surprised at the fact that this man could get away with it without anyone finding out the truth. "If he has never paid for something, how could people believe he is rich? This is unbelievable," one netizen said.

"Maybe it's because he looks like a rich guy, so those salesmen let their guard down. They should learn from their mistakes and not be fooled by the empty checks that people write," commented another.
