Recently, the Public Security Bureau of Chaoyang district in Beijing released a series of anti-drug video clips, which attracted tens of millions of netizens on Sina Weibo, the Chinese Twitter-like social media platform.

Sunday in 2022 was International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. In order to make it easier for people to understand the dangers of drugs, police officers from Chaoyang district, anti-drug ambassadors and famous influencers from the district worked together to produce a series of informative short video clips. This new way of promoting ideas through social media was appreciated by netizens. The short videos, each of which ended with the slogan "Chaoyang Residents are everywhere, they know everything, and they will never tolerate the abuse of drugs" were watched more than 100 million times in total.

"Choosing popular stars to do anti-drug publicity can further arouse people's attention and curiosity. This kind of work should be encouraged more," one netizen said.
