Residents in Baise, a city in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, filmed six adult males riding an electric bicycle together, which sparked public attention and prompted the local traffic police to investigate.

The six men told the police that they all worked in an electric bike dealership, one of them was the boss and the other five were employees, and that they rode together in order to advertise the vehicle's quality and resistance.

The vehicle was taken away by the authorities for being driven without a license plate and the driver was also fined 400 yuan ($60) for not weaing the helmet.

"It is very dangerous for them to drive on the road like that, but I must say, the quality of that electric bicycle is really amazing," one netizen said on the Chinese social media platform Sina Weibo.

The traffic police then reminded businessmen to comply with the relevant laws and regulations and to avoid putting at risk their own and other people's lives.
