Do you know how hot the summer of 2022 is? Not only are people susceptible to getting heatstroke, but also animals become sick easily due to the weather: Several pigs in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality even fainted because of high temperatures. A fox was found at a corner of a fire station, enjoying the cool air there in Yichang, Central China's Hubei Province. In the same city, the tempered glass door of a pedicure shop also burst as a result of the hot weather, but fortunately, no one was hurt.

The number of animals affected by the heat is increasing. An eagle was found in a river by a patrol volunteer, surnamed Xu, in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu Province, on Thursday.

Xu scooped up the eagle with a fishing net and turned it over to the police. It was determined to be a black-eared kite falling to the river because of heatstroke. After getting veterinary treatment, the black-eared kite was released into the wild.

Netizens joked that the eagle was executing a "high-temperature and high-altitude operation" when flying in the sky under the sun, and others said the poor thing may have "worn a down jacket" because of its thick feathers in the stuffy summer.
