In the wee hours of Saturday, 9 people had been trapped in a cave and lost contact for 10 hours in Wulong district, Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality. Local search and rescue detachment received notice of the emergency from the police station. After the inquiry they knew that on Friday, a family of 11 people went to a nearby cave to escape from the summer heat. However, nine of them, including two people over 70 years old and five children, got lost, trapped in the cave and lost contact. The other two people searched by themselves but failed, then they asked the police for help. After three hours of persistent efforts, the trapped people were finally found inside the cave several hundred meters from the entrance. Fortunately, everyone was safe.

Some netizens are angry that the family caused trouble for the rescue workers, others rationally analyze that the children may have lost their way unintentionally while playing and the hot weather really does bring inconvenience to people's life.
