Kengo Kuma Architectural Design - art exhibition

This immersive exhibition in Beijing is inspired by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.

It presents the art of architecture in an unprecedented way.

Designed by Kuma himself, the exhibition takes visitors on a mental therapy trip through the pandemic era. With the concept "architecture of the five senses," the exhibition focuses on the senses of people, bringing visitors a unique experience through different materials and architectural elements. The exhibition also shows some of Kuma's calligraphy and digital works that the public has never seen before.

Kuma is a world-renowned architect whose buildings can be found in many cities across the world such as Tokyo, London, Sydney and Barcelona.

He also designed the China Academy of Arts' Folk Art Museum, which opened in 2015 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He takes inspiration from local features such as available materials and living conditions to ensure his work harmoniously integrates with the local environment.
