Several Palestinian artists gathered at the damaged house of their fellow Donyana al-Amour in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, painting to commemorate the 22-year-old artist who was killed on Aug. 5 when Israeli fighter jets carried out intensive airstrikes on the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) targets.

Earlier in August, the coastal enclave witnessed a three-day escalation between the Israeli army and the PIJ, which killed at least 49 Palestinians and injured more than 350 others.
