A race participated with some 900 camels from all governorates of Egypt took place in El Alamein City on Tuesday.

Camels have been deeply rooted and cherished in Arab culture. In ancient times, camel racing used to be the most anticipated event of festivities.

Nowadays, Arab countries, including Egypt, have been continuing the tradition of organizing camel racing.
