Qiongzhou Strait is the strait between the Leizhou Peninsula and Hainan Island in South China. Crossing the Qiongzhou Strait from Haikou, South China's Hainan Province, to South China's Guangdong Province is usually by ferry. However, someone wanted to cross the strait in an unexpected way.

Recently, marine police found a man rafting on the water, with a motorbike and some personal items packed in a bunny bag on the simple raft. The man was swinging the two wooden paddles carefully to move the raft forward. The police immediately piloted a patrol boat to stop the man, preventing the occurrence of an accident.

The man said in order to save money and travel conveniently, he was going to raft across Qiongzhou Strait to arrive in Guangdong. He is a carpenter, and he bought some plastic bottles and planks to assemble the makeshift raft. Some netizens are worried about the safety of his travel, commenting that if the waves were high, the raft might capsize. Others joked that a realistic version of "Robinson Crusoe" is actually a violation.
