Tyndall effect / 丁达尔效应 / (dīnɡdáěr xiàoyīnɡ)

A: Have you heard of the Tyndall effect? You have been able to see it recently at West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

A: When light passes through a colloid, the principles of light scattering allows us to see rays of light with the naked eye. In science, this phenomenon is called the "Tyndall effect."   

当光线通过胶体粒子时,光的散射原理使得我们肉眼可以看到一道道的光束,这种现象科学上称为"丁达尔效应"。

(dānɡ ɡuānɡxiàn tōnɡɡuò jiāotǐ lìzǐ shí, ɡuānɡ de sànshè yuánlǐ shǐdé wǒmén ròuyǎn kěyǐ kàndào yīdàodào de ɡuānɡshù, zhèzhǒnɡ xiànxiànɡ kēxué shànɡ chēnɡwéi "dīnɡdáěr xiàoyīnɡ".)  

B: I understand, Photographers call this effect "Jesus light." I never knew there was a scientific principle behind it.

B: I usually choose to take photos of the sun in the clouds during the mornings, evenings or foggy weather. 

我会选择在清晨、黄昏或者雾气较多的天气去拍摄太阳在云层里的景象。

(wǒ huì xuǎnzé zài qīnɡchén,huánɡhūn huòzhě wùqì jiàoduō de tiānqì qù pāishè tàiyánɡ zài yúncénɡ lǐ de jǐnɡxiànɡ.)
