A video of hundreds of monkeys swimming across a river in a scenic spot in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region went viral online, and this interesting scene amused many netizens.

The video posted by tourists show a group of monkeys poking their heads above the water and swimming to the other side of the river between green hills and clear waters. 

The magnificent sight of nearly 300 monkeys swimming in the river amazed the tourists and local people, making them feel lucky to witness the scene. It is reported that there are four groups of moneys in the area who do not usually leave their territories. 

Many netizens also felt surprised as they joked that this was a realistic version of Journey to the West, one of the four Chinese literary classics, with the main character in the novel being the Monkey King.
