Iraqi rescue teams on Monday continue to search for the 11 missing people believed to have been buried in the rubbles of a building that was engulfed by a massive fire on Sunday in central Baghdad.

The huge fire broke out in a three-story building, which contained warehouses storing flammable perfume in the al-Waziriyah industrial area, said Mohsen Kadhim, assistant director general of the Iraqi Civil Defense.

Two of the three stories collapsed due to the fire, which was extinguished on late Sunday evening, said Kadhim.

Rescue teams are removing the rubbles to search for the missing people at the scene, Kadhim said, adding that the collapse of the two upper floors injured 10 members of the Civil Defense, including its Director General Kadhim Bohan.
